About Lydia

Lydia Millward was born in 1982 in Shropshire, England.

She graduated from The Byam Shaw School of Art, University of The Arts London in 2006. They commissioned her to produce work for their permanent collection. Since leaving Byam Shaw she has been working from her London based studio in Battersea, working on private commissions and towards exhibitions. At the end of 2008 the acting department of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama commissioned her to paint ten paintings based on the works of Stanley Spencer, for the play Stanley, by Pam Jems.

Her studio work currently focuses on landscapes, cityscapes and still life, painted from life and worked on in the studio. She recently joined The London Atelier of Representational Art learning the disciplines of sculpture and rigorous drawing.
